ABOUT US

St. Alphonsus is a centre for many ministries and has served the community for over 50 years. We serve a broad area from approximately Ava Road to Davenport Road (North-South), and Winona Drive to Bathurst Street.

Since the beginning, the church has served the larger community and continues to foster this sense of community by offering various parish groups,  such as the Knights of Columbus, the Catholic Women’s League. Our liturgical ministries also help develop this sense of community. Our Parish is home to both the Missionaries of the Precious Blood Community, and the Carmelite Missionary Sisters of St. Theresa. More about our community in the "Further Information" tab above.

Today, we have the support of all communities, and currently offer Sunday Masses in English and Italian.

You are welcome to be part of this parish.

OUR VISION

St. Alphonsus Parish is called to build a Catholic community of disciples of Jesus Christ, nurtured by the Eucharist and inspired by the Holy Spirit.

WHAT WE DO

St. Alphonsus Parish is called to build a Catholic community of disciples of Jesus Christ. Nurtured by the Eucharist and inspired by the Holy Spirit, we dedicate ourselves to:

  • Foster life-long faith formation and spiritual growth

  • Encourage one another to live in Faith, Hope, and Love

  • Invite our neighbours to share in the Good News

  • Reach out to the needy and work for social justice.

OUR COMMUNITY

In carrying out this mission, we, as a community demonstrate the love that we have for God by the community we create with each other and our response to the needs of our neighbour.
